  • Boutique Law firm specialising in Family and Immigration Law. At the heart of our firm, is the wellbeing of our employees.
  • It is an openplan office which is very relaxed and friendly. It is quiet and focussed to ensure a less stressful environment. Our office feels more like home than an office.

Your role

  • To carry out legal, admin and support tasks in Family, Immigration or any other relevant fields and/ or any other function within the scope of the service, ensuring all tasks and responsibilities are completed to agreed timescales with a high standard of accuracy.
  • To handle client calls and correspondences, scanning documents, handling post and attending to clients.
  • Carry out a range of legal duties as allocated to include dealing with routine legal enquiries by way of telephone and correspondence, obtaining and recording key dates (including hearing dates) and writing letters, under the supervision of responsible solicitor.
  • To ensure all tasks and responsibilities are completed to agreed timescales with a high standard of accuracy.
  • Creating new case files, managing and updating active files and closing cases as appropriate within the scope of your specific work.
  • Prepare bundles in accordance with court rules, arrange service of documents and arrange attendance at court, liaise with parties and witnesses concerned as appropriate
  • Liaise with other teams members keeping them informed of progress of cases and taking any other appropriate measures to ensure continued client satisfaction
  • Manage information including maintaining document and IT systems, record & archive management and confidential file disposal. Effectively updated including creating new case files, managing and updating active files and closing cases as appropriate within the scope of your specific work.
  • Perform other jobrelated duties as assigned.
  • To comply with all learning commitments of the apprenticeship as required.

Desired skills
-
4-9 grades English and maths GCSE's:

  • Confident with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage reception in conjunction with other administration duties
  • Good attention to detail
  • Good working knowledge of ICT packages including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to demonstrate or gain a clear understanding of the firm's inhouse systems where training will be given
  • Excellent presentation, organisation and timekeeping skills
  • Awareness of confidentiality and safeguarding
  • The ability to use own initiative, be able to work individually as well as part of a team
  • Must be wellpresented with a clear, pleasant telephone manner
  • Good organisational skills
  • Good client care skills
