Job Summary
We are recruiting for an experienced Quality Control Technician to join a rapidly growing food manufacturing company based in Greater Manchester.
The role will involve ensuring that the products the company produces meet the necessary standards and complywith all relevant legislation and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Conducting tests and checks on all food products
- Ensuring that all products meet the necessary standards and comply with all relevant legislation and regulations
- Identifying any problems with products and finding solutions to rectify them
- Maintaining detailed records of all tests and checks
- Monitoring production processes to ensure quality standards are met
- Reporting any issues to the Quality Control Manager
- Working closely with the production team to ensure all products meet the required standards
- Assisting in the training of new staff in all aspects of quality control
- Maintaining the highest levels of hygiene in the production environment
- Assisting in the maintenance of all quality control equipment
- Carrying out any other duties as required
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in a quality control role in the food manufacturing industry
- A thorough understanding of quality control processes, legislation and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent problem solving and organisational skills
- Ability to work well in a team as well as independently
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Experience of using quality control equipment
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
