You'll join a specialist BT security team that is a trusted partner to governments worldwide and our Cyber Assurance teams are essential in testing and assuring that we deliver with the quality levels our customers have come to expect from us.


So what does this mean for you?

  • You'll be designing and implementing approaches to test and assure brand new concepts in security software and infrastructure proving they are delivered with a high level of quality, security or performance, with an automatefirst ethos
  • You'll be working with specialists in their area (such as software / infrastructure / systems engineers, data scientists, etc) to deliver high quality solutions for our customers
  • You'll use Agile ways of working when verifying and validating the quality of everything from small proof of concepts through to national and international scale solutions
  • You'll gain skills and knowledge in quality assurance, automation, continuous delivery/integration, test driven development, software, networks, high speed processing systems and many more
  • You'll research new techniques and technologies to aid the assurance activities

You'll need:


  • A demonstrable passion for technology and a methodical approach to problem solving.
  • As well as your degree, you'll need experience in scripting, ideally with at least one of Python, Bash, Powershell or Javascript. If you're not proficient, we'll help.
The principles and undertsandingof software scriptingin Python, Bash or similar

  • An understanding of the endtoend software lifecycle from requirements capture through to verification and validation.
  • An understanding of physical infrastructure or cloud concepts or an awareness of IP networking or network devices is advantageous.


The nature of our work means you will require a Security (DV) clearance, so we will undertake checks before starting the role with us.
