An experienced
Accounts Assistant is required in Elland.

Sayjo Recruitment are acting on behalf of a client to recruit for this role due to the successful expansion of their team.

This role is to support a busy group accounts function.

It will involve sales ledger responsibilities and running credit checks, VAT checks and sending compliance letters to head office addresses, for new customers opening credit accounts.

Also supportingall other accounts functions as required.


Responsibilities:


  • Administration of purchase ledger and sales ledger to Navision software.
  • Weekly payroll processing from timesheet and clock card to prepayment stage via SAGE Payroll. (Training will be given)
  • Assisting in all areas of compliance and new customer account checks.
  • Generating letters and correspondence to customers and suppliers.
  • General filing and scanning.
  • Basic reconciliation work across all ledgers, transactions and statements.
  • Updating data to Excel documents.

Requirements:


  • Experience in a busy accounts office.
  • Excellent standards of administration, numerical and communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Great team skills to support across the team with a desire to learn and pick up
- new skills to compliment the skills you already have

  • Experience in accounting software is required, Navision is a platform that our client would offer training and support with. Ideally you will have used SAGE Payroll or other SAGE products.
The hours of work are 35.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Monday to Thursday is 9-5:15pm and Friday is 9- 4:30pm. There is free parking onsite, company pension and 20 days holiday plus stats.
