Fire Alarm Engineer

Location:
London (Working from home, you'll be sent the jobs to attend the day before and you're paid door to door)

Package:
Permanent £37,000 salary + Van and Fuel card, 10% bonus paid every 2 months for doing the job, matched pension and 20 days holiday rising 1 day a year for each year of service and bank holidays off, use of companies new training centre,paid door to door and Healthcare package

My client, a leading Electrical Contractor managing projects across London, is currently seeking a Fire Alarm Engineer to join them on a permanent basis covering London, assisting the company with installing and servicing Fire Alarm System's for their clients.

The Fire Alarm Engineer will be responsible for attending pre booked maintenance and installation appointments within the Commercial / Retail and domestic / social housing sector, installing and maintaining Fire Alarm Systems and AOVs.

The company are willing to consider Fire Alarm Engineers who are
Fully Qualified Electrician's (18th Edition and NVQ Diploma Level 3)
_OR_ FIA accredited Electrician (Units 1-6) with Hands on experience.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Work in a safe and orderly manner in accordance with the current health and safety and electrical/ fire alarm regulations.
  • Able to work in Social Housing environment and Retail / Commercial settings.
  • Have a good understanding of Fire Equipment & Systems and be able to identify/report faults.
  • Document all relevant information and/or use the Oneserve Application accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain fire alarm systems and be able to repair/adapt where necessary.
  • Carry out installation duties.
  • Fault finding and repairs.
  • Technical support in the field and via telephone

Fire Alarm Engineer Qualities and Certification required:

  • Must have completed
    FIA training (Unit 1-6) OR fully qualified (
    Level 3 NVQ Diploma and 18th edition).
  • Strong fire alarm experience. Including AOV (Automatic Opening Vents)
  • Experience of operating in a similar role.
  • Minimum of 2 years industry experience.
