Working hours:
Minimum of 21 hours per week (Part-time) or 35 hours per week (Full-time) with a requirement to attend the London office a minimum of 40% per month

The Salvation Army in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland (UKI) Territory is both a Church and a Charity whose mission is to bring people to Christ and provide social welfare services.


The IT Adoption Specialist will work with different stakeholders throughout The Salvation Army to understand their requirements and develop and deliver appropriate adoption and training plans.


The IT Adoption Specialist will need:

  • A passion for widening and supporting access to IT with previous experience of working in a large and complex IT environment, where you have coordinated information and supported projects with a focus on user adoption, change management and training.
  • Excellent experience of successfully delivering training programmes on site and online in group and on a onetoone basis
  • Significant experience of conducting training needs analysis and creating course materials and other documents such as guidelines
  • Proven ability to communicate difficult or complex ideas clearly, often to multiple stakeholder audiences
  • Capacity to forge strong business relationships with external suppliers
  • Good interpersonal and negotiation skills and political awareness
  • Ability to work both as part of a team and proactively on own initiative
  • IT qualifications in Microsoft technologies, Project Management or similar
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral English)
  • A positive, 'cando', and flexible attitude


In Summer 2023 The Territorial Headquarters will be moving to a new, modern headquarters at Denmark Hill, London, SE5 8BQ.
