Paying between £30k - £35k, this property management company is recruiting for a Senior Client Accountant on a permanent basis.

The Role
The job's main purpose is to be the lead contact on all accounting matters for a specific client or group of clients, ensuring a first-class service is delivered in the most efficient way possible.
As a Senior, there will be a responsibility to train and assist others and contribute to the effective running of the team.
Key accountabilities:
- Management of a small team of Client Accountants and Assistant Client Accountants
- Clearing Client funds in required timescales and ensuring all procedural obligations are met
- Liaising with central departments to ensure the processes and procedures are met for that client
- Ensuring income is accurately accounted for and in the correct financial period. Ensure all approval procedures are met
- Prepare periodic financial reports for specified periods in a predetermined agreed format
- Preparation of Accruals and Prepayments schedules on a monthly/quarterly basis to ensure all expenditure is recognised in the correct accounting period
- Periodic analysis of Rent Free apportionments
- Asset Recognition and derecognition including journal preparation for the Head of Property Accounts to agree with the client before posting
- Quarterly IPD reports to analyse Client expenditure
- Quarterly collection analysis reports
- Monthly funding requests and quarterly Service Charge VAT analysis
- Liaise with Cashiers over the correct allocation of receipts from both tenants and Clients as necessary
- Set up and keep up to date a set of files for each Client in accordance with standing instructions
- Act as a senior point of contact for the team, liaising between the team and Department Heads
- Liaising with the team and supplying training as needs are identified
The Person
