Customs Compliance Officer - Luton - £30-35,000

Distinct Recruitment are partnering with a well-established business based in Luton who are on the lookout to appoint a stand-alone Customs Compliance Officer to the team on a full-time permanent basis.

This position will have the opportunity to be hybrid-basedworking spilt between the office and home.

Our client is looking for an individual who is very strong-minded and is able to manage this process through and through, is able to liaise and push back internally and externally where needed.

Salary - £30,000-35,000

Working hours - Monday to Friday 8-4:30 (potential early finish on a Friday)

Can be flexible around working hours but core hours will be 9:30 - 3:30

Report into - Financial Controller

Start:

ASAP

**You will be doing: Responsible for all import and export procedures
Liaising both internally and externally around custom procedures
Implement new procedures when needed
Controlling the import shipping process
Additional cover for dispatch coordinator
Ensuring import and exports are accurately reflected monthly

**Required Experience: Exposure in previous positions of both import/export processes
Progression through import/export within a previous role
Knowledge from outside of the EU - international Trade agreements
Preferably 3+ years experience in a customs and trade compliance role
