We are looking for a highly qualified and experienced Payroll Specialist.

Reporting to the Team Leader HR Operation Services (UK) and will be responsible for the outsourced, processing of 4 UK Payrolls (approximately 1050 employees in total).

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Payroll Processing
  • Working closely with our Payroll provider (Activpayroll) to ensure accurate and timely endtoend payroll processing for employees within 4 UK based companies.
  • Processing starters and leavers and contractual changes
  • Calculations of holiday pay, SMP, SPP & SSP
  • Completion of P45, P60 and P11D's
  • Autoenrolment.
Compliance Assurance

  • Stay up to date with HMRC regulations, ensuring payroll activities adhere to legal requirements.
Data Integrity

  • Assist HR in maintaining accurate and updated employee records, managing changes in employment status, new hires and terminations.
Payrolled Benefits Administration

  • Handle payrolling of employee benefits, including pension schemes and other deductions, ensuring consistency.
Employee Queries

  • Address payrollrelated queries and concerns promptly, providing clear and concise guidance to remote and onsite employees.
Collaborative Support

  • Coordinate closely with HR and Finance teams, ensuring seamless information flow and accuracy of payroll data.
Adaptation & Improvement to Systems

  • Make recommendations to streamline and update processes.
Financial Reporting

  • Preparation of financial reporting, including payroll journals and accrual preparation.
Experience and Skills

  • Proven track record of experience in running multiple payrolls, with strong knowledge of UK payroll regulations.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of autoenrolment.
  • Must be highly organised, and comfortable working in a dynamic, fastmoving environment with the ability to handle multiple and changing priorities.
  • Attention to Detail: Accuracy is paramount in payroll. Being meticulous ensures precise calculations and proper recordkeeping.
  • Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality.
  • Excellent mathematics and communication skills.
  • Previous experience working with Activpayroll and/or the Workday HR platform will be an advantage.
  • Knowledge and recent experience of Global Payroll practices would be beneficial.
