The Role:

A fantastic opportunity to join Venn Digital as a Sales Development Representative Apprentice

Venn is a market-leading MarTech business that specialises in digital solutions for recruitment agency and employer brands. Our packages range from SaaS website solutions to full-service marketing strategies to help recruitment brands achieve ROI.


This role provides the opportunity to prove yourself in the role of SDR, to progress into a Lead Gen or BDM role.


Your role will be support the sales function from top to bottom to expose you to the full sales funnel and working across teams and departments.


Your Responsibilities:


  • To immerse yourself into the role and explore the inner workings of Venn
  • To achieve monthly appointment targets
  • To meet KPI's set by your Sales Manager, with respect to number and quality of appointments
  • Establish regular and effective communication with key prospective decision makers
  • Liaise with the BDM and Sales Manager, and contribute to wider goals of the sales team
  • Build strong prospect pipeline utilising, where necessary, resources such as case studies, research etc
  • Develop an indepth understanding of Venn's solutions and strategies
  • Ensure best practice in your approach to promoting the business and selling the appointment to requirements
  • Work closely with the Marketing Manager to spot wider opportunities and follow up on campaigns

Entry requirements:


  • 5 GCSEs grade A* C/94 or equivalent (including English and Maths)
  • The ability and desire to sell
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A confident and determined approach
  • Resilience and the ability to cope with rejection
  • A high degree of selfmotivation and drive
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • The capacity to flourish in a competitive environment
  • Educated to degree level

Training to be Provided:

You will undertake the innovative and industry led Apprentify IT Technical Salesperson Level 3 apprenticeship.


We have designed our programme to offer you distinct routes to focus your career path and specialise in areas such as social selling or account management.

These paths are designed to jump start your career and make you stand out in a competitive field increasing your future earning potential.

During the 15 months of training you will learn cutting edge theory and industry practice across eight units:

The Sales Lifecycle:

you will learn about the sales environment, basic sales and marketing theory and how to manage customers through the sales lifecycle.


Computer Systems and Sales:

you will understand how different IT systems benefit an organisations efficiency and improve sales as well as their core unique selling points.


The Sales Process:

You will begin to master objection handling and closing sales as well as how to negotiate with prospects to achieve better results.


Product Project:

you will learn to analyse your market in detail and propose opportunities for new business for your organisation that are suitable for your product line.


Sales Ethics and Legalities:

you will gain an appreciation of legislation that affects sales and how to sell your products and services in an ethical manner.


System Security:
you will learn about how IT systems keep customer data secure and the principles of secure coding.

Account Management:

You will develop your skills in customer communication to win repeat business with your prospects and learn the importance of cultivating long term relationships.
