Description
We are looking for
two Claims Handlers/Customer Service Advisors
(1 x French Speaking & 1 x Italian Speaking) for our Bristol based financial services client.
The role
The purpose of the role is to investigate and evaluate losses and handle customer queries and complaints.
Responsibilities will include:
- Answering phone calls, responding to enquiries, and making outgoing calls/corresponding in writing as necessary
- Confirming and verifying details and accurately entering them into the database and using the dataset to interpret and communicate data.
- Reviewing and responding to documents and correspondence.
- Investigating losses to obtain pertinent facts and recording information accurately.
- Notifying relevant parties of all losses received.
- Arranging for the repair or replacement of insured equipment.
- Complying with recommendations made by relevant parties and/or internal auditors.
- Resolving customer complaints.
- Translating documents as required.
- Maintaining weekly and monthly productivity and completing reports as directed
- Carrying out administration and filing tasks as required.
The person
- Fully fluent in French OR Italian with good English language skills (oral and written).
- Six months + experience working in a telephonebased customer service environment.
- Problem solving, investigation and negotiation skills.
- A good understanding of modern French OR Italian culture and business working.
- Confident communicator with strong listening skills and the ability to build rapport and credibility quickly.
- Good attention to detail, numeracy and problemsolving skills; and
- Reliable and responsible
Salary and Benefits
- A salary of £22,250 plus discretionary bonus
- 21 days' holiday plus bank holidays rising each full calendar year of service to 26 days
- Hybrid working (after training/probation) allowing 2 days/week working from home

- 37.5 hours work/week (08:00 to 16:30)
Location
Bristol (BS1) - you will need to be able to be 100% office based during your initial training (3 months) and then hybrid working is available - 3 days per week in the office)
