About the Position

You will work within the ALS Technical Services team to provide technical support to our retailer clients and manage their food and non-food product due diligence.

Basis: Full Time & Permanent
Shift: 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday

Closing Date: 30th November 2023

The position will be responsible for:

Performing labelling checks against the latest regulations on food and non-food products.
Managing product specifications and quality attributes with the retailer suppliers.
Gathering testing data for release of retailer marketability report.
Communicate with clients regarding technical queries and general reporting matters.
Using technical competences to assess the compliance of the products with current regulations.
Coordination of the retailer sample logistic between the ALS sites.
Managing the planning for organoleptic testing
Preparation of samples for organoleptic testing.
Performing physical, organoleptic and appearance testing.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have:

A scientific background (degree level) preferably in Food / Nutrition / Cosmetic Sciences.
Good knowledge of Food & labelling regulations.
High level of reporting and writing skills.
Good understanding of the Food Industry and clients.
Good understanding of the Cosmetics and Personal Care Industry.
The ability to manage projects to tight deadlines with a good understanding of FMCG requirements.
The ability to work alone and as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Good computer literacy skills.
Excellent organisational skills.
Very high attention to detail and a methodical approach.
