Train Dispatchers Required - Immediate Starts Available

Job Role:
Train Dispatcher

Location:
Eastbourne and Polegate Stations

Shifts:

You will be required to be flexible for shifts Monday to Sunday, shifts will vary between 4-12hrs per day and rostered weekly.

What does a train dispatcher do?

Work alongside the dispatch team in making sure that trains depart from the station safely and on time.
Always provide an impeccable customer service experience to customers and passengers.
Be the face of the company by wearing the correct uniform and ID always.
Carry out Bus Liaison duties during engineering works.
Ensure that the safety of others and the area around them is clear from obstruction.
Report any antisocial behaviour with little disruption to other passengers as per the Railway Byelaws.

Essential Requirements

You must hold valid ID to work in the UK and have a full national insurance number.
You will be required to pass a drug and alcohol screening
You must be outgoing, confident and be able to make station announcements
Pass a Listening and Concentration Assessment in our head office (Greenwich, London)
Available to complete a 6 day paid training course including theory and practical assessment held in our head office (Greenwich, London)

ALL OUR ROLES ARE BASED WORKING IN A RAILWAY ENVIRONMENT, THESE ARE CLASSED AS 'SAFETY CRITICAL' THEREFORE YOU MUST BE COMFORTABLE AND ABLE TO DO SO.
