The role of the Finance Officer is a crucial one in the school's Finance Team.

Required to take responsibility for the efficient day to day running of our fees processes and the use of the school's platform for managing and administering the bursaries programme that is a distinctive feature of our school, the role involves responsibility for and administration of the fee ledger, credit control, administration of all finance related aspects of the school's bursary scheme and any associated tasks that may be required.

The school's bursary programme provides means-tested fee assistance to parents whose financial circumstances would preclude them from paying all or some of the school fees.

Hulme Grammar School has always been an engine for social mobility and we are committed to this remaining central to the school's identity and ethos.

Assessment of income declarations from new applicants for assistance, and the annual reassessment of declarations for current pupils, forms an important part of this role.

The school uses the Bursary Administration Ltd and its associated software Metis to ensure efficient organisation of this process and to make sure that our means-tested bursaries are targeted at the families of students who would most benefit from a transformative Hulme education.

This role is full time, full year although part time over 4 days will be considered.

Interviews will be held in person on Thursday 30th November 2023.
