Overview of Responsibilities:


We are seeking an enthusiastic Health Physics Dosimetry Technical Records Officer to join our SHEQ Department on a
FTA contract (12 months).


You will be a self-organised Technical Coordinator with a broad range of administrative skills to be accountable for administering radiation and beryllium workers' registration system and assisting the maintenance of the Department work procedures and maintenance of relevant intranet pages.


You must have an acute attention to detail for checking through documents and records, combined with a proactive approach to work and good communication skills.


As Health Physics Dosimetry Technical Records Officer_ _you will play a pivotal role in processing, maintaining and storing both personal and environmental dosimetry reports from the Approved Dosimetry Service (ADS) in support of UKAEA's legal responsibilities.


Main Responsibilities:


  • Daytoday management of the UKAEA's dosimetry contract and dealing with any issues arising.
  • Assisting managers and other staff in the use of SHEQ department Administrative systems.
  • Maintaining the management system through updates to documents or other software.
  • Maintaining and updating accurate data entry records.

Qualifications:


  • Essential Requirements:_
  • Previous experience of producing and working on technical reports, within an administrative role. Competent user of Office 365 suite.
  • Good communication skills, organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Flexibility to undertake a variety of administrative tasks across the SHEQ Department.
  • Proactive approach with an ability to work on own initiative with limited supervision.

All employees at the UK Atomic Energy Authority must complete an online Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) and other appropriate security checks, including The Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks for criminal convictions.
