Atalian Servest is currently recruiting for an M&E Asset Surveyor to join our passionate and driven team.


Your primary responsibilities will include:

General

  • To oversee the financial and commercial reporting for the Region, producing reports and analysis of same for the Regional and Commercial Directors.
  • Being responsible for the integrity and accuracy of the financial reports and numbers, managing the monthly reporting cycle.
  • Carry out regular project reviews.
  • Identify risks and opportunities to the business
  • Be accountable for the performance of the Commercial team within the Region.
  • Agree final accounts within parameters agreed with the Regional and Commercial Directors.
  • Resolve any Commercial and Contractual issues to the benefit of the business.
  • Build good relationships with opposite numbers in our clients organisations.
  • To input into the Regional strategy and play a proactive role in achieving same.
Managing the Commercial team within the Region to ensure the following

Technical

  • Submitting detailed and timely Applications for Payment
  • Identifying, reviewing and detailing variations, the preparation and submission of detailed prices including supporting documentation for agreement
  • Preparation of all necessary supporting documentation in support of Final Account submission including negotiating the settlement of the Final Account
  • Analysing actual costs and future expenditure, highlighting any errors or inconsistencies on a monthly basis
  • Forecasting estimated value, cost and margin on a monthly basis, reconciling any movements in the month by exception, and reporting on any variances from the tender allowances
  • Pursuing Notices or Certificates for Payment, and the resultant payments that become due, including retentions
  • Reporting by exception of any matter or event that is likely to affect the forecast outturn of a project
  • Having familiarity and an understanding of the conditions of contract relating to any project ensuring the Businesses rights are preserved and entitlement is safeguarded where practicable
  • Negotiating, Agreeing and Placing Sub-Contract Agreement Contracts and Managing Subcontractors to meet programme requirements; valuing the work undertaken by Subcontractors and issuing the appropriate Notices and processing payments as necessary
  • Be aware of the agreed programme for projects and assist with the reporting of progress to the Client
  • Be able to identify and issue Delay notices timeously in accordance with the agreed Contract. Prepare Extensions of Time, Loss and/or Expense
  • Understand and review Client Contract / Sub-Contract Agreements / Orders and agree any amendments where required for formal agreement of same
People Management

  • Providing Training, Presentations and Coaching within the Business
  • Provide Guidance and Development to other members of the Surveying Department
  • Capable of working in a team environment supporting colleagues and providing advice on all commercial matters when necessary
  • Understanding customer's requirements and conducting business in a professional manner at all times
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Good listening skills and capable of interpreting directions
  • Effectively support the management of employee conduct and performance, including identifying if disciplinary action is required

  • Meeting agreed Key Performance Indicators
