Overview:


This growing SME organisation based on the outskirts of Guildford are looking for a Finance Assistant to join their team.

You will be joining an expanding, multi-site organisation that has ambitious plans over the next few years so would be a great time to join the business.

This role will mainly focus on Sales Ledger/Credit Control however you will also gain exposure into other areas within accounts.

Furthermore, this role will be offered on a hybrid working scheme (post completion of training) and would be a great fit for an experienced individual who is looking for their next challenge.


Finance Assistant - About The Role:

In this role you will be reporting into the Finance Manager and will be working within a finance team of 4.

You will be responsible for handling the Sales Ledger function whilst also assisting within other areas of accounts.


Your key responsibilities will be:


  • Managing the Sales Ledger function, predominately customer invoicing & credit note review and processing.
  • Setting up new customers onto the system as well as building relationships with existing suppliers.
  • Raising invoices from sales orders and updating sales CRM system.
  • Daily banking and allocation of cash, as well as setting up DD payments.
  • Proactively managing the collection of outstanding monies owed to the company.
  • Processing multiple DD payment schedules on a monthly basis.
  • Issuing customer statements and suspension notices.
  • Monthly bank reconciliations of key accounts.
  • Supporting the finance team with any additional tasks.

The successful Finance Assistant will have:

  • Previous experience in a similar position
  • Strong Sales Ledger/Credit Control experience
  • Ability to work in fastpaced environment
  • Excellent communication skills
