Delivery Driver

Location:
Carlisle

Hours: 45 hours per week - 09:00 to 18:00 Monday to Friday

Pay rate:
£11.74 per hour. Overtime available with an enhanced pay rate of £17.61 per hour.
Delivery Driver Responsibilities

Complete daily safety checks, safe loading / securing load of vehicle, maintenance, legislative / regulations and adherence to company driving standards (including tachograph vehicles).
Scanning and working quickly and efficiently to ensure warehouse deadlines are met.
Ability to make good decisions and work under pressure
Complete multiple deliveries and collections of shipments of a variety of shapes, sizes and weights
Maintain a high level of attention to detail
Ensure correct completion of DHL / Customer data and documentation
Sort and prioritise workload (including multiple route sort) to ensure time commitments are met
Ensure customer needs are met through time efficient deliveries and collections
Have a professional interest for Safety and Security of yourself, colleagues, customers and the general public

Delivery Driver Requirements

A full and valid Cat B Driving licence
Strong geographical knowledge and route planning skills
Excellent planning and organisational skills
Have a strong work ethic, be flexible and happy to work hard on their own initiative.
Experience of driving a 3.5t van is preferred but not essential.
Have good people skills that are helpful and friendly
Previous multidrop experience is an advantage
You must be able to provide various proof for identity checks
You must be able to demonstrate a full 5 year work history
If there are any gaps during this period, documentation will need to be submitted for proof.
