This Local Authority HROD department has reshaped its services. They are realigning their service provision to put digital, learning and innovation at the heart of what they do. They have created four new functions - HR
Consultancy, Culture and Employee Engagement, Health and Safety, and the HR Culture Partnering Team.


Duties:

As their permanent Head of Culture and Employee Engagement, you will be part of their senior management team, responsible for delivering key elements of their People Strategy and will provide expert and professional
HROD leadership, and advice.

You will be partnering with and coaching senior leaders to ensure services are accessible, efficient and provide value for money to their customers and residents.


Working closely with the Service Director of HROD, you will be responsible for a small team developing and leading organisational development activities which deliver a culture of high performance and employee engagement in support of the Council's People's Strategy.

This will include developing, implementing and evaluating the impact of cross-organisational strategies, plans, systems and processes in areas including learning and development.


Requirements:


You will need to be a highly credible professional with a demonstrable passion and drive for organisational development and employee engagement.


You will need:

  • A recognised HROD or L&D qualification and CIPD member status is essential
  • Experience of leading an organisational development function for a complex organisation, whether as a standalone practitioner or as a manager
  • Current knowledge and understanding of organisational design techniques and approaches
  • Knowledge and understanding of HROD processes and interventions which embed culture change, behaviours and values, and achieve employee engagement.

£58,000.00-£62,000.00 per year
