Description
Our client is a pan Europe mechanical business who are looking for an Assistant Accountant, based in Central London.


This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a solid foundation in transactional accounting, ideally with some exposure to the month-end and supporting the Management Accounting process.

With a study package on offer, the role could suit an AAT qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant looking to take their next step in their career.

Working in the growing UK head office, you will report into the Finance Manager.
The role is 4 days in the office with 1 day from home per week.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Ownership of sales and purchase ledger, including raising and processing all sales and purchase invoices into the accounting system, for review by Finance Manager.
  • Weekly payment runs
  • Weekly bank reconciliation including FX
  • Weekly debtor & creditor reporting and updating cashflow for review by Finance Manager
  • Monthly expenses reconciliation
  • Assistance with UK & overseas VAT returns
  • Assistance with quarterly management accounts preparation
  • Assistance with annual financial statutory audit, dealing with queries and information requests
  • Assistance with adhoc reporting to the parent company

Key Qualifications & Experience of this Finance/Business Analyst role:

  • A willingness to continuously improve systems, processes, and controls
  • Be a team player, we are a small team and help each other out where needed
  • AAT qualified or ACCA/ACA/CIMA part qualified or equivalent
