Are you passionate about working in healthcare?


We are looking to recruit motivated, caring, and compassionate individuals for the role of Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to assist qualified nursing staff with patient care.

Under the direction of the Registered Nurse the Health Care Assistant will
work with all members of the multi disciplinary team to contribute to the
provision of the highest standards of care delivery in undertaking personal
care duties for patients in hospital/community.


You will contribute to the assessment and care plans that have been developed, to work within standard operating procedures as defined within each area.

You work closely under direction of the senior nurse who will be available for reference and will be able to respond to individual need in delivering patient care.


The Secretary of State has approved the partnership between St Helens & Knowsley Teaching Hospitals and Southport & Ormskirk Hospitals.


From 1stJuly we have come together as a single organisation under the name Mersey & West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.


The Trust delivers acute hospital care, intermediate care, community, and primary care services to a population of over 600,000 people with a combined workforce of around 9000 dedicated and skilled staff from 17 locations including Whiston, Southport & Formby, St Helens, Ormskirk and Newton hospitals.


The Trust provides regional services for burns, plastic surgery and spinal injuries to more than 4 million people across Mersey and West Lancashire, Cheshire, the Isle of Man and North Wales.
