Robert Walters is currently partnering on an excellent opportunity with an international banking group based in the West Midlands.They are seeking a Head of Credit Risk to be a part of their risk leadership team, developing and supporting a partner.

The Head of Credit Risk, will be responsible for risk strategy on a partner portfolio, one of the largest in the business.
You will drive forward initiatives working very closely with the business unit and partner team by making use of the latest analyticaltools and techniques.
You will be part of the Risk leadership team working alongside other risk areas, and the partner themselves.There will also be significant exposure to the local management board by taking the lead on the risk committee with the objectiveof finding the optimal risk reward trade-off for the business whilst remaining compliant with regulation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the Risk relationship with the partner and build a strong relationship with the internal UK teams so risk is clearly represented and managed.
- Take the lead and help shape the partner risk committee ensuring the right metrics are followed and initiatives are presented.
- Provide guidance, support and coaching to the more junior partner Risk team members facilitating their development.
- Review existing strategies and practices, understand business problems and working with colleagues to scope out and deliver relevant analysis and modelling through to implementation.
- Continually identify opportunities to safely grow the partners business without compromising credit quality and returns, proactively sharing insight on expected changes arising from new strategies & policies with stakeholders.
- Ensure the Credit Policy is kept up to date with all latest developments
The Head of Credit Risk will possess a substantial background and experience in credit risk management, data analytics and modelling and of working on various financial products across financial services or regulated organisations.
You will be highly experienced in managing and developing teams, have a strong technical background in SAS base/SQL or similar programming languages and have excellent analytical skills.
You willhave a strong understanding of the consumer risk lifecycle and credit bureau data and products. You will possess excellent stakeholder management skills with ability to manage customer expectations and provide an excellent customer experience.More jobs from BNP Paribas
