Embedded Software Engineer is £30,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on skillset and experience.
Summary of the Embedded Software Engineering role:
The
Embedded Software Engineer will join a thriving and talented multi-disciplined engineering team in which the
Embedded Software Engineer will take measures for the design and development of mechanical control software for the range of the organisation products and equipment.
Embedded Software Engineer Key Skills:
- Degree, HND or suitable experience in relevant field for Electronics Engineering
- 12+ years industry experience
- Graduates with 0 experience also considered
- Understanding of developing for embedded platforms and environments
- Embedded Software Programming in C, C++
- A good understanding of basic hardware and its interface with software systems
- Network interface protocols
- SPI, I2C, USB, UART, RS232/485, Ethernet, TCP/IP
- Microcontroller & Microprocessor experience
- Ability to read electronic schematics and component datasheets
- Selfstarter, good team player and good communication skills
Desirable & highly advantageous nice to have skills:
- Other programming languages
- C#,.NET, Java, Python
- GUI (Graphical User Interfaces)
- Version Control Systems
- GIT, SVN, JIRA or similar
- Software engineering tools e.g. IDEs, compilers, build processes, debuggers, emulators and test frameworks
- RTOS
- FreeRTOS, Linux, Windows, VxWorks or similar
- Embedded Systems For Automation And Control
