A vibrant Independent School in West London are looking for a school Science Technician specialising in all areas of science.


The Role:


This award-winning school is looking to recruit a ScienceTechnician, with a focus on Chemistry, to
start ASAP on a full-time basis.


Working as a school Science Technician you will need to combine your professional Science laboratory experience and health & safety training to support the Science curriculum and help develop the Science department.

As a Science Technician, you will be anintegral part of the School Support Team.


You must have at least 6 months experience of working experience within a science laboratory or relevant fields, knowledge of practical needs of the science curriculum or core scientific ideas and the ability to prepare materials/resources for curriculumlaboratories.

You will need to show evidence of the following:


  • Strong practical and organizational skills
  • A thorough understanding of science and the school curriculum (at least a 2:2 in a BSc Degree)
  • An academic background in Chemistry would be preferred
  • Good scientific knowledge and technical background
  • Good communication and team working skills
  • The ability to cope and understand the demands of young adults & children while in school

Essential:

Science degree (Chemistry preferred) or degree in an equivalent field:


  • Minimum of 6 months experience within schools:

Enthusiasm, flexibility & understanding:

Proven success in supporting students in a Secondary School (or relative field):


  • Current DBS (or prepared to purchase one)
