Job overview:


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Practice Education Lead to join the Emergency Department at Salford Care Organisation.


The post holder will act as a specialist in education and practice development within the Emergency Care, supporting other members of the team in the development and delivery of high standards of patient focused, evidenced-based care.


Main duties of the job:


You will act as a resource for clinical expertise and maintain clinical skills by undertaking regular 1:1 clinical practice supporting members of the team.

You will provide professional, leadership and support and maintain full competence through regular practice.


You will contribute to the quality improvement agenda through the development of staff groups, undertaking audit and research and contributing towards service development.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities:

This vacancy is open to those who have a current NMC PIN to practice as an Registered Nurse or Midwife in the UK, or those who are currently enrolled on a course which means they expect to receive their full NMC PIN within the next 3 months. Please note an NMC PRN PIN is not a full NMC PIN and would not fulfil the essential criteria for this role.

  • 3 years minimum post registration
  • Evidence of mentoring and teaching
  • Proficient in use multiple IT systems
  • Minimum 2 years in Emergency Care at a senior level
  • Evidence of CPD
  • Evidence in working collaboratively
  • Demonstrated Leadership, management and team development at a clinical level

Desirable criteria:


  • Post registration qualification in speciality/teaching/education
  • Management or leadership qualification
  • Proficiency in Microsoft programs.
  • Evidence of involvement in service development
