The Role
Based within the core West Berkshire integrated Drug and Alcohol Service, this Recovery Practitioner role will support adults who use our services within the area to achieve their recovery journey goals, via 1:1s and structured groupwork packages.
The role will involve:
- To deliver excellent drug and alcohol services to those that use our services and their significant others, including family members friends and carers, to facilitate positive outcomes.
- To streamline the transfer process between Young People and Adult services and to be able to offer bespoke interventions taking into account individual circumstances, such as special educational learning need opposed to considering age in isolation for the bestfit service.
- To manage a case load and coordinate and deliver assessment and evidencebased interventions (brief and structured), recovery planning and aftercare planning.
- To work collaboratively with colleagues and key stakeholder across multidisciplinary teams, ensuring adherence with all VIA policies and Safeguarding principles.
The core hours of this role will be Monday - Friday 9am until 5pm, but there may be some occasional out of hours work which would be considered on a rota basis.

1 Station Road, Newbury, RG14 7LP (the role may also involve some outreach across the county)
