The company is based in Mansfield and has a great opportunity open for a
Project Officeto join their team on a 4-month maternity contract.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week. This role is offering hybrid working patterns.
This is a fantastic opportunity to bring your skills, knowledge and experience to support to the IT and Projects team.
The main tasks of the role will include, but not limited too:
- Accountable for successful delivery and embedding of programmes and projects
- Support the strategic and planning processes in the:
- Preparation of business case submissions
- Planning of capacity in terms of available resource and budget
- Identification of risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies
- Creation of endtoend project plans including, but not limited to, Project Initiation Documents (PID), Risk Assumptions Issues and Dependencies Logs (RAID) and Post Implementation Review (PIR).
- Provide project reports as required.
- Supplement the established project processes and documentation with enhanced processes and procedures forming a fully documented project process.
- Agenda setting for Project Team and Steering Group meetings, produce & maintain meeting minutes.
- Update and maintain project portfolio management software/system to reflect accurate project status.
- Advise on the alignment of portfolio capacity planning and required resources to successfully deliver the programmes/projects
- Ensure consistency of approach; adherence of change governance framework processes and documentation to provide delivery confidence.
- Monitoring Portfolio wide hotspots and dependencies; ensure issues are identified and remediation plans agreed to maintain successful delivery of the change agenda.
- Continually seek ways to improve the efficiency of the operations and recommend changes to management and ensure full awareness of all requirements and promote a culture of sharing best practice.
- Fully comply with all current procedures, directives, polices and instructions.
- Keep up to date with changing requirements by internal communications and external contacts.
- Comply with all legislation and regulations relating to the business, strong awareness of relevant regulation, e.g., GDPR, MCD etc.
- Identify areas of noncompliance within the business and report as appropriate.
- Demonstrable experience of project management and/or involvement in project activity.
- Proven experience of working in an administrative role to deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal skills with those at all levels (Board of Directors, Executives, Managers, Colleagues, 3rd Parties etc.)
- Ability to work collaboratively with all areas of the business and liaise with staff at all levels across the business
- PRINCE2 Foundation Certificate (or equivalent) in Project Management would be an advantage
