Role Purpose

To support the Builders Yard Foreman in the day to day running of the Builders Yard and fulfilment of customer orders.

To ensure that the yard runs well, complies with Health & Safety guidelines and to provide effective communication of any issues that may arise.

Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare for the Day open containers, open builders' warehouse, grit yard and customer areas during winter.
Serve Customers help customers locate materials, collate goods receipts and load customers vans and cars.
Orders pick Building Material Orders, shrink wrapping and labelling for collection and delivery as required.
Filling 25kg Bags of Materials keeping to scheduled requirements and topping up retail pallets.
Filling Dumpy Bags of Materials keeping to scheduled requirements.
Load and Unload Lorries and Receive Supplier Deliveries of materials for Builders Merchant and Garden Centre.
General Yard Duties ensure the yard is tidy at all times, empty pallets stacked neatly and in correct size, disposing of burst bags, recycling cardboard and plastic.
Stock up shelves and put goods away and assist in Trade Centre if required
Occasionally undertake Pick-Up Transit Deliveries.
Additionally, wash the forklift once a week and report any damage to the Builders Yard Foreman.

Full compliance with Health and Safety routines.

Ideally you will possess the following:

Positive and flexible attitude.

- 'Can do' attitude.

Excellent time management and organisation.
Physically fit, Able to lift 25kg.
Driving License

Desirable:
Forklift Experience, counterbalance and telescopic

Salary:
Up to £10.50 per hour
