Purpose of job
Have a passion for food, Providing practical support to the Chef Tutor and customers. Ensuring that exceptional in-person and online experiences is delivered.
Hosts to our guests throughout their experience, responsible for ensuring the school is well presented, and that there is a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that customers receive excellent service and enjoy their experience in the cookery school.
- Ensuring customer satisfaction in each class is achieved. Should have a handson approach.
- Assisting and supporting chefs in classand eventually teaching and running classes.
- Guiding customers in the class.
- Able to work autonomously and take responsibility for work.
- Highly organised, competent with forwardplanning.
- Recipe testing.
- Adhere to quality, hygiene, and cleanliness standards.
- Staying up to date with culinary trends and kitchen processes.
- Overseeing the maintenance of kitchen equipment and communicate repairs when needed.
- Maintain high cleanliness standards and adhere to food hygiene standards.
- Support the Assistants in prep and cleardown of classes. Have all the ingredients and equipment ready then help with clean down at the end of classes.
- Good understanding of kitchen operation and the experience and knowledge of a wide range of cuisines, sweet and savory baking, and various cooking techniques.
- Attend corporate and cookery school events, ensuring that the cookery school is well represented.
- Support with stock control, check delivery and inventory.
- Knowledge of suppliers and ensuring that they supply quality goods at affordable price.
- Participate in relevant training and keep up to date on the performance of the Cookery school.
- Feeding back ideas and opinions to improve and enhance the Cookery school.
- Drives a high customer service culture in the cookery school to exceed customer expectations.
- Ensures security of company cash, stock, equipment, and premises.
- Follows company policies on health & safety and takes responsibility for a safe workplace.
- Carries out tasks as directed by the Manager or other head office personnel within the timeframe required.
- Repots directly to the Cookery school Manager.
- Actively seeks to upsell products used in classes and stays up to date with current promotions.

Job Types:

Salary:
£27,000.00 per year
