Reed Accountancy in Oxford are pleased to be partnering with a long-standing client based in Oxford to help source a Cash Manager to join their finance function on a temporary 6 month basis, with an immediate start.


This hybrid 35 hour opportunity offers a offers a pro rata salary of up to £60,000 per annum (dependant on experience).

Additionally, the client is open to individuals across the UK, as they require office attendance a minimum of 4 days per month.


The cashier team is responsible delivering a first-class cashiers service and lead an ongoing programme of improvement to cashiers systems and processes in line with best practice.

As a contractor, your key focus would be procedural improvement across a numberof areas needing attention.

The responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for departmental staff issues such as staff meetings and salary reviews, policies and working standards, long term planning and short term objectives
  • Manage the Cashiers team, embedding new processes in working practices, and managing change effectively
Responsible for delivering a cashiering service according to agreed standards, policies and procedures, including:

  • Incoming payments are posted to the correct ledger, and cheques banked on a timely basis
  • Outgoing payments are made in line with agreed payment terms, and using the most cost effective payment method
  • Credit card merchant accounts are reconciled on a timely basis
  • Bank accounts are reconciled to bank statements, and reconciling items are cleared on a timely basis
  • Efficient administration of corporate credit cards
  • With technical support from the Systems team, lead an on-going programme to improve systems in line with modern technology and best practice
  • Act in partnership with staff in the business, ensuring training and information is given, raise the profile of the Cashiers team, and represent Cashiers on projects led by the business

The client is seeking a hands-on, experienced and efficient individual who has a strong core knowledge of cash and bank functions.

The organisation is conducting an ERP implementation which is due to conclude in June and so a high degree of familiarity withSAP is desired.
