The Home
Longfield Care Home is situated in Eglington. Nursing home with maximum of 35 Service Users.
Categories of care:
- old age not falling within any other category, Physical disability other than sensory impairment, Physical disability other than sensory impairment - over 65 years.
The Role
This role involves assisting the operations of a catering service within Healthcare Ireland unit with particular emphasis on the movement, storage and preparation of food within the unit.
Main Responsibilities
Ensures that all catering stock and equipment is correctly stored and accounted for in accordance with the company's Assured Safe Catering standards.
Under direction, assists with the basic preparation of food items.
Ensures all cleaning within the kitchen, catering and servery areas (as appropriate) is completed and complies with the company's Assured Safe Catering standards.
Delivers and maintains a clean and tidy environment throughout the home, in line with operational standards and ensures that work processes comply with statutory regulations.
You will need:
NVQ3/C&G standard with an advanced food catering certificate.
At least 3 years' experience in care home setting.
Problem solving skills.
Communication skills.
Updated catering skills.
