Description

We are collaborating with our client based in Essex as they recruit for a permanent Accountant, whilst they expand their growing Accountancy Firm.


The position is due to start at the beginning of February on a full time basis, with an annual salary of £45,000 per annum.


Duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Preparation, completion and submission of up to 80 client accounts (Limited, sole trader and partnership)
  • Completion and submission of VAT returns
  • Tax Returns (CT600, SA100 and SA800)
  • Raising and processing invoices, chasing payments where necessary
  • Bank reconciliations and forecasting
  • Statutory year end reporting
  • Keeping up to date technically and providing accurate and efficient advice to clients
  • Work to tight deadlines to ensure business objectives are met

Experience and skills required:


  • ACCA/CIMA/ACA Qualified, or Finalist (or equivalent)
  • Experience of online accounting software including Sage, Quickbooks and Xero
  • Minimum 2 years recent experience in Public Practice
  • Experience in the preparation of statutory and management accounts and working with incomplete records
  • Experience with UK taxation
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Fantastic organisational skills, an eye for detail and the ability to work under your own initiative
