Job Purpose:


To carry out an administrative role within a C of C (Certificate of Conformity) and FAIR (First Article Inspection Report) function.

Liaise with customers and team members to assist in completing Quality and Production department paperwork. Have an active role in ensuring corrective/preventive actions have been put in place. Provide support to the Inspection and Masking Team.


Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Liaise with external customers for C of C (Certificate of Conformity) & First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) completion
  • Review and verification of the certificate of conformity documentation and issue certificates of conformity to Inspection department for sign off
  • Ensure that all products comply with the applicable regulations, standards, or specifications and keep up to date with any relevant changes in these to ensure that the certificate of conformity aligns with the latest requirements
  • Conduct internal audits or participate in external audits and inspections to verify compliance with applicable regulations, standards, or specifications
  • Identify areas for improvement in the certificate of conformity process, suggest and implement changes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction
  • Collate data required for C of C's and FAIR's. Training will be provided
  • Data provided to be input into FAIR forms
  • Liaise with internal departments regarding data correctness for completion (Inspection & Production)
  • Keep records up to date on the I.T. system
  • Carry out general administrative roles where required
  • Manage spreadsheets for FAIR and quality systems
  • Perform other data collation activities required by the quality department or business
  • Photograph different stages of the masking process prior to treatments, create and update folders in line with current and changing masking drawing revisions to aid maskers in line with relevant drawings

Essential To the Role

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Word
  • Organized and able to manage workload
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Good communication skills
  • Willing to learn and progress within their role

Desirable Skills

  • Previous experience of working in an aerospace/automotive/precision engineering environment.
  • Previous experience working within a quality department.
