The Person with Lived Experience co-ordinator (PLEC) is an exciting and unique role within the Secure Outreach Transitions Team (SOTT).
The PLEC will co-ordinate our peer support workers in their delivery of care and support to patients/service users.
Through own experience as a parent or paid advocate, the post holder will utilise and share their enablement skills to co-ordinate and identify reasonable adjustments to assist, the person with lived experience to inspire hope and belief that recovery is possible in others.
Within a relationship of mutuality, they facilitate and support information sharing and exploration of shared experiences based on the peer support values of Respect, Authenticity, Validation, Relationship, Empowerment and Mutuality.
