Responsibilities:


  • Create a safe and nurturing environment for the children
  • Provide emotional and practical support to the children in their daytoday lives
  • Encourage and support the children in their education and personal development
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate records of the children's progress and wellbeing
  • Develop positive relationships with the children, families and other professionals
  • Ensure all relevant policies and procedures are followed in line with best practice
  • Light domestic duties

Requirements:


  • Experience in a similar role, working with children with SEMH needs
  • A proactive and funloving personality
  • Understanding of safeguarding procedures and the importance of confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of OFSTED requirements
  • A commitment to providing the highest standards of care to the children
  • Resilience
  • Drivers required because of the rural location of the home
The shift patterns are typically long days from 10:00 - 00:00 with a sleep-in until 07:00.

Each sleep is paid at an additional £50 per night with an average of 40.5 hours worked across the week.
