Electricity North West is looking for a skilled and collaborative Overhead Worker to join our inclusive team. This full-time role comes with a generous salary of up to £35,040 p/a and a benefits package.
As an authorised Overhead Line Worker, you will be required to work on the Electricity North West overhead electricity distribution network.
As part of a team you will participate in construction, maintenance, inspection and fault-finding activities in line with your level of authorisation.
In your first few weeks in this Overhead Line Worker role, you can expect to:- Participate in the construction and refurbishment of the overhead power distribution network and in fault location and repair work; this takes place during both working hours and after hours when required, ensuring that interruptions to the customer's electricity supply are kept to an absolute minimum
- Report on progress throughout, thereby enabling colleagues within the Customer Contact Centre to keep our customers always informed
- Be responsible for the inspection and maintenance of various items of overhead plant
- Customerfocused with the ability to communicate clearly
- Willing to work outside in all weather with some antisocial hours
- In possession of a full UK driving licence
- Well organised, selfmotivated and happy working as part of a team
- Able to demonstrate the ability to complete paperwork relating to workbased activities
