Purpose:
Pegasus Supported Housing are an established provider of high quality housing and support. Our standard of excellence is echoed through our reputation with service users and partnership organisations in the Midlands.

We provide over 100 vulnerable adults with housing every year, significantly contributing to prevention and management of the housing crisis in the Midlands.

As a maintenance operative you will be responsible for carrying out the day to day and responsive repairs and refurbishments on our properties and responding to any void room works.

You will have a good understanding of health and safety legislation including multiple occupancy standards within residential premises. You will be able to work both independently and as a team to ensure deadlines are met.


Responsibilities

  • To work alongside the Housing and Support Manager to create a daily job structure which impacts job completion most effectively.
  • To attend properties and deal with repairs and maintenance in line with allocated jobs listed on to task management systems.
  • To investigate reports of repairs and to feedback findings to the Housing and Support Manager to agree most effective and costefficient solutions.
  • To effectively complete repairs in line with the priority repairs system. This will include the requirement to undertake jobs such as small renovations, plastering, plumbing, and maintaining high standards of property maintenance across the portfolio.
  • Report any health and safety concerns arising during your work to the Housing and Support Manager
  • To comply with Pegasus Policy on purchasing and ordering of materials in a timely manner to ensure jobs are completed effectively and achieve deadlines.
  • To respond and report any wellbeing of service user's concerns using the Bloom software system app. Any issues of antisocial behaviour or abuse are to be reported immediately to line manager or director.
  • To ensure the grounds of each property internally and externally are kept in good order in keeping with being a good neighbour and the expectation of the community.
  • Attend monthly Property Services meetings to ensure continuous improvement of standards.
  • To liaise with external contractors where required to meet and great at properties and ensure the relevant information is provided for effective works completion.
  • All Pegasus property to be looked after and cleaned after use weekly.

Salary, Working Arrangements & Further Information
Salary - £22,000 - Full Time

Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm


Essential Criteria:


  • Must hold Full UK Driver's License
  • Must have valid vehicle business insurance.
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation relating to multiple occupancy residential dwellings.
  • Basic plumbing, renovations, painting, and decorating skills

Desirable Criteria:


  • Access to own Van and tools
  • Tradesman qualifications
