Description

Milk Education is working in partnership with a supportive and nurturing, single form entry primary school in Rusholme who are seeking to appoint an experienced Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant.

The role will involve supporting two children withspecial educational needs (Down Syndrome, Autism and ADHD) on a one-to-one basis both within the classroom and outside in the nurture room.

Working hours - 08:30-3:30pm

Starting - ASAP

Daily rate - £72 - £82 per day depending on experience


Responsibilities include:

  • Work with individuals or small groups of pupils in the classroom under the direct supervision of teaching staff
Supervise and provide particular support for pupils, including those with special needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities

  • Support pupils to understand instructions and support independent learning
  • Assist with the implementation of Individual Education/Behaviour plans and Personal Care programs under the supervision and guidance of teaching staff
Establish constructive relationships with pupils and interact with them according to individual needs
