Are you a great at building relationships and rapport? Do you thrive in a target driven environment and have passion for food? If so we are looking to expand our Customer Service family at JB Foods (Scotland) Ltd based in Loanhead.


Established in 1963 our family run business has gone from strength to strength to become Scotland's leading independent foodservice operator.

We have an extensive portfolio covering grocery, fresh meat, chilled, frozen and non food products.

In addition, we have our rapidly growing in house butchery allowing us to specifically cater to our clients individual requirements.


We are looking for a vibrant, forward-thinking individual, with an eye for detail and excellent communication skills to be the first point of contact with our large database of external customers such as; independent hotels, gastro pubs, restaurants, cafes and schools.

You will report to our Internal Sales Lead and partner with your own field based Sales Executive. Your working hours will be Sunday 10.00am-5.15pm, Monday - Thursday 9.15am - 5.15pm. You will have a can-do attitude with a willingness to grow with our business. Experience is preferred but not essential, full training will be provided.


Responsibilities:


  • Contacting existing customers to via phone to take scheduled orders
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients
  • Accurately processing orders on our in house system and liaising with our Purchasing Department as required.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Analyse customer needs and recommend/upsell appropriate products or services
  • Maintain accurate and detailed customer records using our database
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address customer concerns and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Stay uptodate on product knowledge and industry trends to effectively assist customers

Requirements:


  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to analyse customer needs and provide appropriate solutions
  • Previous customer service experience, preferably in the food services industry, is a plus
  • Strong problemsolving skills and ability to handle difficult situations with patience and empathy
  • Detailoriented with excellent organizational skills

Salary:
£13,926.38-£18,964.40 per year


Supplemental pay types:

  • Bonus scheme

  • Midlothian, EH20 9TB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
