Following an internal promotion and a retirement from within the team, the Research Management Services team is looking to appoint two proactive Finance Project Officers to deliver high quality grant management outputs.
Reporting to the Finance Faculty Manager, you will play a key operational role in building working relationships across the globe with and providing end to end service to academics in portfolio management.
Main responsibilities will include (not limited to):
- Review all expenditure against each grant/contract to ensure it adheres to the terms and conditions of the funding body.
- Undertake accurate forecast/reforecast of grants on a regular basis anticipating expenditure appropriately.
- Reconcile grant expenditure and prepare and issue claims for grant income on a timely basis.
- Experienced in dealing with budgets, forecasting expenditure, reconciling accounts and producing expenditure statements.
- Experienced in preparing and processing internal finance related documentation for grant delivery such as bank transfers, financial contract clauses, due diligence checks, journals and timesheets.
- Highly numerate, have meticulous attention to detail and possess outstanding organisational skills.
- Critical thinker, decisive, focussed on priorities and goal driven.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills with evidence of being able to build effective global working relationships.
