Student and Family Educational (SaFE) Worker


Love Teachers is recruiting for a passionate and confident Student and Family Educational Worker to join a popular and vibrant mixed, multi-ethnic comprehensive school in Ealing as soon as possible.


You would be responsible for monitoring the progress of up to 300 students in a year group to help them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

You would also ensure that the school's Learning Agreement is adhered to and the appropriate interventions are put in place in order to make students feel safe, secure and successful, mediating between students and liaising with parents and carers.

Providing support to the Year Leader, you would help to coordinate all aspects of the development of independent learners within their year group and enable students to identify their existing unhelpful patterns of behaviour and overcome this.

Other responsibilities include; collecting work for students who are not attending lessons, working with students in the Inclusion room, working proactively with outside agencies/charities to provide additional opportunities, facilitating group sessions including parenting groups.

Student and Family Educational (SaFE) Worker Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills with parents, students and teachers and competent in IT.**
  • GCSE English and mathematics or level 2 equivalent.

- Evidence of continued personal and professional development.

- Understanding of child protection procedures and safeguarding.

- Confidence and the ability to establish effective, professional relationships with families and students.

- Sound knowledge and understanding of students' educational, personal, and emotional development

- Ability to work in collaboration with school staff to identify vulnerable children and secure improved attendance.

- Enhanced DBS check dated no more than 3 months old and registered on the update service.

- Great references.

Salary:
£32,228.00-£33,912.00 per year
