Payroll Manager

The Payroll Manager is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and reviewing all payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of all payroll transactions.


Duties:


  • Overseeing four UK payrolls
  • Management of the Staff Payments Office
  • Lead, motivate and develop the team while monitoring performance
  • Define solutions and the implementation of the change programme deliverables
  • Developing required process documentation and training material for the team, providing updates as required
  • Implement, maintain, and review payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of all payroll transactions
  • Managing the Concur expense system
  • Advise on all statutory compliance and aspects of employment tax
  • The Client uses the SAP Payroll system and this imperative experience at a high level. Proven track record of strong leadership in a large payroll function, within an SAP framework
  • Ideally coming from a large company background and able to manage multiple payrolls.
  • Payroll technical expertise coupled with experience in change management and governance.
  • They need to be a people manager and leader, able to coach others.
  • Demonstrated analytical and datainformed decisionmaking
  • Extensive systems knowledge including SAP, Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Experience of working in higher education sector would be an advantage or other complex organisations.
