About the role


As part of our new ways of working within Finance, we have outsourced the transactional processing and payment of supplier invoices to a third-party organisation in Wipro.

As we have refined our ways of working with Wipro we have identified the need for a retained RTR presence to be a primary point of contact for Wipro, to undertake complex accounting tasks requiring judgement and business knowledge and to coordinate our external facing reporting requirements.


The role of the RTR lead will also be to act as the new RTR process champion in the business, enabling a smooth transition of work to Wipro and embedding our new ways of working within the business.


Your key responsibilities:

  • Be a primary point of contact for Wipro RTR staff requiring direction and guidance for non standard transactions
  • Monitor progress with periodic regional financial accounting requirements to ensure timely completion to a high standard
  • Coordination of Aggreko personnel to complete stock counts and associated inventory checks
  • Key contact for coordination of information gathering for internal and external audits
  • Coordination of tax audit requirements in consultation with relevant Regional Tax Manager
  • Treasury management oversight, liaising with Group Treasury to provide on time, accurate cash forecasts and to ensure adequate fund availability in Region
  • Overall responsibility for Regional Banking relationships and bank account administration
  • Completion of statutory accounts and coordination of Aggreko review process ensuring on time submission in line with relevant regulations
  • Oversight of indirect tax return compilation, ensuring a meaningful Aggreko review takes place ahead of timely submission and payment in line with relevant regulations
  • Intercompany oversight, issue resolution, compliance and coordination of dispute management
  • Working closely with other towers to coordinate complex cost coding requirements in line with Group instructions
  • Working with the Centre of Excellence (COE) to develop and promote new, best in class RTR processes and being a first point of escalation for process end users, answering all queries on process and issue resolution.
  • Driving new ways of working within the business as they develop further, working with the Centre of Excellence process improvement team.
  • Communicating known issues to end users in the business and providing workaround instructions where relevant.
  • Offering feedback to ensure continuous improvement and championing the new RTR processes to drive global standardisation.
  • Liaising with other RTR Regional Leads across the group, actively participating in regular knowledge sharing forums
  • Coordinating feedback from FP&A and Finance Business Partner teams regarding RTR outputs

Education / Qualifications

  • University degree level
  • Qualified accountant (chartered accountant or management accountant) at least 3 years PQE
  • Currently working as a Financial Accountant / Financial Accounting Supervisor
Professional skills / experience

  • Comfortable working in a global business environment that is undergoing process and technology changes.
  • Highly organised, both task and action based with a logical process base to work
  • Embraces a strong cultural sensitivity and awareness that different business processes and requirements exist and will require harmonization.
  • Must be flexible and willing to work as a team to cultivate change and process improvements.
  • Strong analytic skills and experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (Ideally Infor Cloudsuite), consolidations systems and data warehousing tools.
  • Extensive knowledge of RTR processes and controls
  • Practical experience of working with electronic management systems and process management software
  • CLoudsuite a particular benefit
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft programmes particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Demonstrated skills for effectively communicating at all levels to resolve issues and to gain buy in to process compliance
  • Previous experience gained from working in a finance role within a complex group
  • Ability to identify issues and problem solve
  • Previous experience working with an outsource provider would be beneficial
  • Ideally the successful applicant would have a detailed, working knowledge and understanding of local business processes, systems and procedures
