With branches across the UK, my travel specialist client is looking for experienced travel professionals to join their growing business and to join their branch in Glasgow.

The company have a pro-active approach to travel management, and have long standing and successful relationships with the world's major airlines, hotel groups and car rental companies.

With over 30 years' experience in their sector behind them, they are a leader in their sector.

The Role

Travel Sales Consultant


The role of Travel Sales Consultant is to generate and maximise sales through exceptional customer service; building trust, understanding and relationships so you can effectively manage each bespoke journey perfectly from beginning to end.

deliver an exceptional holiday booking experience, whilst maximising revenue opportunities.

Your duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Deliver "Sales through Exceptional Service"
  • Achieving & maintaining set revenue targets
  • Continually developing and evolving revenue opportunities
  • Highlighting upgrade options, extras and added benefits is integral to your role
  • Offer sound advice, guidance, and honest opinions so your customers come back to you time and time again
  • Exceed customer expectations
  • Building rapport with customers
  • Provide indepth product information
  • Review customer feedback
  • Resolve any customer issues
  • Ensure all paperwork for customers are accurate and organised
  • Searching, pricing and managing your flight queue on GDS

In return, the Travel Sales Consultant will receive:

  • Base salary of up to £22,000 commensurate with experience
  • Hours are between 9am 9pm across 7 days
  • Competitive commission structure in place

The successful Travel Sales Consultant will have:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent IT/Applications knowledge
  • Team player
  • Motivated and target driven
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Robust experience of GDS systems
  • Experience of selling worldwide travel destinations
  • Well travelled with long haul product knowledge
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent knowledge of the airline procedures and country destinations
