Description

This is an excellent opportunity within the Stroke department at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust.

The appointees will be based on the Hyper Acute Stroke Unit (Pirton Ward); the Stroke and General Medicine Ward (Barley).

When based on the HASU, the appointee will be responsible for the care of patients who are being initially assessed and monitored for acute stroke symptoms, supported by the 7 stroke consultants and 3 trust registrars and other junior doctors.

The Stroke Ward provides care for patients who require ongoing therapy and medical intervention including rehabilitation and the appointee will continue to manage the care of these patients.
