About the Role:


We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Special Education Needs Support Worker for a challenging role in our client Primary school in Tower Hamlets.

This full-time position involves providing support to two SEN Children: assisting with Year 3 in the morning and supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in Year 4 in the afternoon.

Both of them might get disoriented or disregulated so we need someone with a strong understanding and SEN experience


SEN Support Worker Key Responsibilities:

Year 3 Support (AM): Provide assistance to students in Year 3, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Year 4 ASD Support (PM): Support children with ASD in Year 4, addressing challenges such as dysregulation, limited language, and signs of frustration.

Ad Hoc Assistance: Be flexible and responsive to the dynamic needs of the classroom, offering support where needed.


SEN Support Worker Requirements:

Experience: Demonstrate experience in supporting children with ASD, particularly those experiencing dysregulation and limited language.

Flexibility: Possess the flexibility to adapt to the varying needs of both Year 3 and Year 4 classrooms.

Resilience: Be resilient in handling challenging behaviors and able to provide a calming influence on students displaying signs of frustration.
