Supported Housing Coach

LOCATION:
Exeter


HOURS:20 hours per week (8am - 9pm with flexible working)


SALARY:
The salary is £11793 per year for 20 hours a week

The post holder will be required to provide coaching support in a foyer setting working with 16-25-year-olds looking at developing independent living skills and signposting to employment, education, and training.


Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • You are expected to develop effective and productive relationships with key partner agencies that facilitate production of multiagency support planning and work with the clients to maintain units of accommodation to a high standard of health and safety.
  • Manage a caseload of customers through their journey within the supported housing service, ensuring a strengthsbased approach that enables them to articulate their aspirations and realise their potential.
  • Induct new customers into the service, including the provision of information regarding Rights and Responsibilities, and expectations regarding the customer's commitment to engage in support sessions.
  • Identify and signpost customers to any support they may benefit from that is available from partner agencies, supporting customers to access these services as appropriate; including but not limited to the Housing Benefit department, MIND, and Job CentrePlus.
  • Support customers to pay their rent, service charge and any personal charges in accordance with their license agreement, by access to a bank account and setting up direct debit payments, recognising the importance of being able to effectively manage theirfinances as a step towards independent living and participate in Void and Income Management activities as directed by your line manager
