Role Description:
Join our dedicated team as a Learning Support Assistant in a specialized SEND school in Gateshead.

You'll be working closely with secondary-aged learners with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), providing crucial support and guidance throughout their educational journey.


Schedule:


  • Monday to Friday (No weekends)

Requirements:


  • Prior experience in a school setting is highly advantageous.

Responsibilities:


  • Support secondary learners with ASD in their academic and personal development.
  • Assist in implementing individualized learning plans, ensuring each student's needs are met effectively.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Foster independence and social skills development among students through tailored support.

Qualifications and Skills:


  • Demonstrated experience working with learners with ASD or special educational needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for making a difference in the lives of young learners.

Salary:
£85.00-£90.00 per day
