An opportunity has arisen for two Undergraduate Coordinators to join our dynamic team within the Undergraduate Medical Education Department.

These are permanent full time working posts at both QMC and City campus.

You would be working as part of a team, as well as using own initiative, to coordinate undergraduate medical student placements within the trust.


The team is a key point of contact for the clinical teaching staff, medical students and university team in the succinct running of medical student placements.


Duties include organising timetables, delivery welcome talks to students as their administrative support, organising teaching and patient workshops across the clinical course.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Coordinating University of Nottingham medical student placements in the Trust.

Supporting and signposting medical students when on clinical placements.

Organising teaching and workshops for placements.

Collating student feedback and ensuring responses to feedback alongside Clinical Lead.

Handling day-to-day placement queries.


Responsive to short notice changes to teaching and able to act quickly and accurately to ensure good communication to all parties affected.

Circulating placement information to students and clinical teachers in a timely manner.

Essential criteria

  • Evidence of personal progression in previous job(s)
  • Educated to A Level / NVQ 3 or equivalent qualification / experience
Experience

Essential criteria

  • Minimum two years relevant administrative experience.
  • Proven record of planning, organisation and administration skills.
  • Responsive to change.
  • Experience of managing own workload.
  • Ability to proof read and have attention to detail.
  • Able to work autonomously.
Desirable criteria

  • Experience of working in the NHS.
  • Understanding of Undergraduate Medical Education.
  • Experienced Administrative Assistant.

  • Evidence of excellent communication skills (verbal, written, phone).
  • Excellent organisation skills
