A fast paced, financial services organisation, based in Slough, is looking for someone with an interest in pursuing a career in finance.


The jobholder will be responsible for assisting in the accounts payable (P2P) process, balance sheet management/reconciliation, credit card statement processing and reconciliation, month end reporting activity, BACS file management, may participate in projectactivity e.g.

new systems implementation.


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Responsible for the administration and management of certain BACS and faster payment related processes
  • Daily reconciliation of DD vs. GL
  • Responsible for the preparation and reconciliation of some balance sheet accounts ensuring that they are complete, accurate and valid
  • Allocation of the payment element of cash reporting associated with the bank account/general ledger
  • Assisting the month end reporting process: posting journal vouchers, reconciliation and analyses of data, etc
  • Administration and assistance with commission related reporting
  • Participates in the online archiving process
  • Processing purchase invoices (to include some 3 way matching with multiple line items).
  • Processing employee expense claims
  • Processing of credit card transactions and reconciliation of associated credit card statements
  • Processing supplier payment runs
  • Diligent management and archiving of AP related documents (via on line workflow solution) in accordance with requirements
  • Ensures that internal monthly payables related reporting deadlines are met
  • Ensures that all internal control procedures are adhered to with specific reference to approval of invoices and associated authorisation limits
  • Ensuring effective and efficient vendor query management and resolution
Skills/experience required

  • Degree education in finance or related disciplines
  • Good analytical problem solving skills
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel would be an advantage
